Olhos de Agua is located a few miles east of the bustling Albufeira in a small rocky bay, even if many tourists come here in the summer, which is much calmer.Previously it was a small fishing village, now it has geared up to tourism. On the beach there is a tiny little promenade with palm trees. The beach is very pretty and lined by rocks.You will find shops, restaurants and along the main road to Albufeira also supermarkets and a pharmacy.Particularly interesting is the east beach of the village, Falesia beach, that invites to rewarding hikes.At low tide you can climb over the stones and pass the distinctive rock column ("Mushroom Rock") to the big beach. On the way you will find the typical fresh water sources, also called "water eyes", after which Olhos de Agua is named.

 

The former fishing village of Albufeira has expanded since the 1960s into one of the Algarve’s major holiday resorts. During the summer the old centre of the town with its plentiful collection of shops, bars, clubs and restaurants is filled-up with tourists from all over the world.Albufeira is surrounded by some of the best known beaches from Praia da Falésia in the west to Praia de S.
